Dear delegates,
Founded in 1997, The United Nations on Drugs and Crime was a product of a fusion between the United Nations International Drug Control Program (UNDCP) and the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Division. The principal goal of this committeeis to provide guidance on how to adopt and implement treaties and protocols effectively in order to support governments worldwide. UNODC focuses on raising awareness and training governments to successfully tackle problems regarding trafficking and abuse of drugs, crime prevention and justice, political corruption, and international terrorism.
As presidents, we expect you to effectively and confidently represent your delegation's position, whilst demonstrating your skills of communication and maintaining diplomacy at all times. Most importantly, we want you to enjoy this enriching experience and learn as much as you can from it. We will be there to help and guide you as best we can.
Yours sincerely,
Antonio and Helena
